Powerhouse Youth
A youth community of faith, purpose & belonging
Powerhouse began in 2000 as a youth group that aimed to meet the social, recreational & spiritual needs of young people from both inside the church & out in the community. Relying on an awesome volunteer team, our leaders don’t just manage the program but are there to act as role models, mentors & friends to those who need it.
Admission is $2 on both Powerhouse & Powercell weeks
Powerhouse - now runs fortnightly
Fortnightly Powerhouse events are opportunities for young people to meet, hang out & have fun together in a positive & fun environment. Powerhouse nights incorperate a blend of unsructured hang out time with plenty to do, as well as some structured group time with games, live band (Mt Martha) & relevant talks on faith & values aimed at helping young people live out their faith in today’s youth culture.
Powercells
Powercell groups are where Christian high-schoolers hang out together in various local homes with their volunteer leaders to chat, eat, study the bible, learn to pray, as well as have loads of fun together. Our hope is to see a generation of young people empowered to look out for each other, live out their faith, & impact their world.
Mt Martha Centre
Powerhouse
Powerhouse provides a variety of activities including our own indoor half-pipe, as well as an array of video games (XBOX, PS & Wii), kiosk, pool tables, games & much, much more. Our MAX sessions are about developing a dynamic youth community with young people having fun while they learn to connect with God through worship & His Word.

Mt Martha - Church
Sunday 6pm is our most upbeat & contemporary & most popular with our youth & young adults. An exciting blend of engaging worship, awsome community & relevant preaching aimed at helping you apply God's Word to everyday life.
Rosebud Centre
Powerhouse
Powerhouse at the 'BUD' is a fun & relaxed group, set on building a positive youth community for those down south. It is a safe & positive environment where youth can explore faith, identity & life issues.

Sunday 9am is a relaxed, relevant & family oriented church service. This new approach to church community has connected well with our Rosebud youth & young adults.

Urban Summer - January 2009
This was our first Urban Summer experience but it definately wont be our last. Three days of working hard on community projects, shifting our focus beyond ourselves & living out our faith by serving our local community. This was an amazing time of building friendships, serving others, & drawing closer to God.
SHINE & STRENGTH
in local High Schools
Shine is a personal growth program run in our local high-schools. It is a 10 week course run within curriculum of the school. It is is a practical, inspirational and experiential. The intent of Shine is to create an environment where girls discover for themselves that they are valuable, that they are created as a `one-of-a-kind', that they can affect the course of their own life, that they have much to offer and that there is a purpose for their life. Our goal is to communicate the values of Worth + Strength + Purpose to teenage girls, to help them successfully navigate from girl-life into womanhood.
Strength on the other hand is an 8 week course run in schools for year 8 boys. Dealing with issuses such as mateship, trust, self confidence & identity, strength is really hitting the mark in our local schools.
